Just seen the advert for it on Sky (quality tune :cool:) so thought I'd start a thread for it.

Don't start work til 4 this week too so will be able to catch the first two sessions on the first two days :)

AN Cook (capt), MM Ali, JM Anderson, GS Ballance, IR Bell, SCJ Broad, CJ Jordan, LE Plunkett, MJ Prior (wkt), SD Robson, JE Root, CR Woakes.
 

looking forward to seeing plunkett perform. seen a little bit and he appears to have genuine pace. are we taking a risk with broad?, not played much this year

big pressure on cook imo. no essex mafia left in charge and he has to show a positive intent. one thing,we place a third man and save 40 runs
 
We could end up playing three players making their debut.

We haven't done that since....our previous test.
 
if buttler is not ready for tests, despite a year around the squad, odis and so on, yet robson is, with no experience whatsoever

Proper cricket fans watch Sky on mute and have TMS on the wireless ;).

Seriously though, be ideal for me to listen to the last session on TMS and get the Boycott end of day analysis :lol:

robson done well for the lions and has a far superior first class record buttler hasent been knocking scores in on a regular basis although he has started to improve with lancs.

Looks canny that like. It'll be interesting to see how Ali does. He's been batting well in the 2nd div. I like him, hope the selectors give him a real good run in the team to see if he can make it, and not discard him after a couple of tests.

Really, think the Sky coverage is class myself, especially Nasser, he is spot on.

Main thing for England is they need to get back to posting big first innings totals, then slowly they can attack more over time.

No chance Ali should be at three by the way

Love the Sky coverage meself. Gower being pompous, Bumble cracking jokes and singing, Beefy and Nasser with the practical jokes, Holding's fruity voice. All you need to add is Boycott and his barmy, controversial views and it would be perfect.

athers and strauss? i enjoyed that cllip they showed the other day of nasser being bowled by napier and they put up a pic of him aged 19 and abatting index of 22
