Cricket tonight?

Would have been a good game so disappointed not to get the game on. But nothing could have been done, both captains wanted it on, but think everyone will agree would have been pointless waiting around much longer.
Be interesting to see where both clubs are come the return leg

Good to see both teams trying to get games on - far too often these days clubs are too quick to call games off. Just from past experience of other clubs when games got called off early doors when with a bit of work the games could have went ahead.

The game could have been a good barometer of where both clubs are - both appear to have good starts.

any one know if littletown 2nds played at Belmont tonight? scores? would be surprised like, pissed down for a week.
the weather is now getting to be f***ing pain in the arse. the bairn was due to play yesterday - off, was due to play for the County today - off, was due to be in the nets tonight - off...a mere 3 day example of whats been normal service since the season started. Joke.

Surreal game at Lintz CC with Washington 2XI losing by 8 runs. Lintz 158-6, Washington 150-9.

Is the scorecard up anywhere? One of my mates sons was due to be playing for Washington. Well done to The Lintz as Washington seem to have a string of good teams. I was up watching Lanchester play in the NTSCL U15s. Stop start game affected by the rain. Derek Underwood like conditions that the Lanchester lads coped well with.

Also watched the DCB U12s at Sedgefield CC today playing against Cleveland U12s. Good game. Ultimately the DCB were too good for their opponents but the NY/Cleveland lads had some good bowlers in amongst them. Going down to Cleckheaton on Thursday to watch the DCB U12s v Yorkshire U12s, an altogether ore testing experience I would imagine!

Somehow we managed to get our game on tonight away at Charlton Kings, the forecast was for it to be pissing down all evening, lovely ground they've got there, but the wicket looked like they had just placed some stumps in a random bit of the square, still got a decent amount of turn off it though. Bowling first we had them all out for 107, then knocked over our target in just 16 overs for the loss of 2 wickets.

Cracking midweek season so far.

DCB U12s match at Yorkshire cancelled tomorrow. The kids at that level have only been able to play 1 of 3 fixtures against County side this season due to the rain. Its rapidly looking very much like two seasons ago when matches were called off all the time due to the shite weather.

Forecast is awful for Saturday and Sunday.

Which forecast you been looking at? BBC has light showers around on Saturday but two nice days today and tomorrow, so most grounds should be dry and most games will be played I would have thought.

Another great win tonight for Eppleton CC v Sacriston CC in the NEPL Co-Op Funeralcare 20/20.
Sacriston 139 - 5 20 overs. Daniel Anderson 43, Martin Hubber 30no.
David 'Waqar' Wilkinson 4-24.
Eppleton 140-3 19.4 overs. Kyle Davis 30, Rizwan Ullah 33no, Gary Burlinson 30, Dean Musther 21no.
