TBF it probably is. No orginal SMB forum, no smb team, no houghton 3rds, no littletown revolution.

And yet Ed and Arundal hog the glory
Agree without the smb those events couldnt have transpired me and the TVOR where speaking about this the other day. The wearmouth game had me, greavsie, greavsies mate Andy, hutch, sproates, sproates mag mate, beefy73 and his brother stew, beefys mate, aleem dar who organised it and pattsoni. I reckon another 25 lads from here also played for the smb team a lot of lads have gotten back into cricket as a result of the smb games.
Talks have started about rekinderling the smb team and starting a new midweek league but we will see

The SMB midweek league would be very good if we could reform it. Problem is all PL teams must enter a team into that league

Nee cricket tonight I dare say and not looking good tomorrow. Was gonna take some pyro to the LCG for the big game but it'll have to stay in the box

Dreadful this like, It can cost teams titles and stuff even so early on in the season if one side plays and your always playing catch up. We're at Brandon tomorrow so hoping its okay..

Teams with bad drainage/slow drying grounds or even shit covers are gonna be up against it if this continues. Correct me if I'm wrong but is this the 3rd out of the last 4 weekends which have been really wet?

Aye it is mate, We got played last week which was the first of the season but prior to that our 'mini league' was washed out the two weeks before. f***ing shite.

I was one of the later lads, really enjoyed it and it would be great if the team did come back in some form although I know it took up a lot of peoples time doing the organisation etc.

thats certainly the case with our place. Groundsman has put in a few irrigation channels (that terminology may be completely wrong as Ive nee idea about groundkeeping) to try and address our problems over towards the football pitch boundary. I havent been down to our ground but understand the seconds game against Littletown is off because of the outfield having puddled areas.

Great job getting the firsts game on. Hopefully the rain holds off and we can get a full game in. A win for either side puts them in a strong position early in the season. First visit to Littletown for me as well.

May have a look in later but forecast would suggest rain will dininate most of the afternoon.
Still a chance for both teams to land blows on a title challenger - metaphorical ones of course

Start pissin down before we could even get the covers off :evil:

Was always a long shot getting any cricket in today.

Shame like as I think it would have been a decent contest. Hopefully the weather will be much improved for the return leg
