Cricket tonight?

Was always a long shot getting any cricket in today.

Shame like as I think it would have been a decent contest. Hopefully the weather will be much improved for the return leg

Sure that privately neither team will be gutted. No Early season momentum lost. League likely to have sorted itself for return leg.

I am sure you would have took defeat well my friend ;)

Wouldnt have even lost the toss man ;)

In terms of results youre right aye. No momentum lost but I think it would have been a good measure of where our side are (wont be as presumptuous to say the same for Littletown though Id like to think we'd have provided at least a test)

Anyone else think of the 'Chicken Tonight' song when they see this thread title??

Everytime I see it I just start singing the song in my head. With chicken replaced by cricket obviously......

No? Just me? Ok then

We are gutted we want to take our chance in every game. We always beleave we will win
Would have been a good game so disappointed not to get the game on. But nothing could have been done, both captains wanted it on, but think everyone will agree would have been pointless waiting around much longer.
Be interesting to see where both clubs are come the return leg

aye t.hought the same tbh. hope it's an early call. ends up a wasted day if it's last minute. rather game is on like... could take Mrs g out for dinner for me anniversary on the afternoon then I can still gan out the morra night if the games off. pros and cons I suppose.

Agree with the first part, legit no idea what you're talking about for the second.[/QU

Westm

wearmouth v littletown last season I think.
rained on Friday, sunny and red hot Saturday all day, same Sunday. hosted a game on the Sunday but called our game off on the Monday as pitch was wet... I think the profit margin was higher for the Sunday game. for the bar anyway.

Probably before I joined as don't know about that. Almost certain the bar/club aren't linked that much these days. We just pay rent for the pitch and share any % in fundraising held at the club. I think anyway.

try again.

wearmouth v littletown

rained Friday. sunny and red hot sat and sun, game called off on Monday due to wet pitch. we then find out a game took place on the Sunday but after 2 days of perfect weather pitch was to wet for a league game. Sunday game must of been more lucrative to the wider wearmouth set up.

would not have been too bad had we been told earlier than the Monday morning when it was too late to make other arrangements for the bank holiday.

I didn't think you could see it, I can't that's why I types it again

bastard......takes me ages anarl
