far worse than this has happened. got to applaud somersets batting. still we will improve in coming weeks with injuries lessening

ICBYD won't be far off mind. Can't think of many/any worse than that. Probably have to go back a couple of seasons to find something as bad.

The way our middle order crumbled on a beautiful batting track yesterday afternoon was inexcusable.

i hear you but we have had many a game where we hve scored less than 580 combined innings. i would like to know our points total, after 5 games last season

Getting beat is always disappointing but to be honest it's been coming since the Yorkshire game. At the moment we've lost the spark that we had last season and that combined with injuries is costing us.

What's more worrying is once again we haven't finished the game without someone pulling up injured, if the bowlers are to start firing like they did last season then they need to work together as a unit and be there to back each other up. Three of the five games we've played this year has ended with bowlers not being able to bowl because of injury. The squad is thin enough as it is without losing bowlers whilst the game is ongoing, that can only put more strain on the remaining bowlers which might lead to further injuries. Stokes is a massive miss as is Bunny, let's hope they're both available for Notts and we can get the first win on the board.

exactly. we missed both borthwicks batting (second innings) and bowling this game as well

I see that we have somehow gone up 1 place in the league table. The table is very tight and a win next week would probably see us 4rth or so. Plenty to play for still.

aye we need to get a few more overs and ideally some wickets out of the top 6 since the bowling unit are so often not finishing partnerships off or worse stil not finishing matches. a few years back we had blackwell and stokes in there.... missing stokes and borthwick atm, would be tempted to put macleod in to get another player turning his arm over, i think he has taken a few wickets for the 2s hasnt he?

can he even bowl its not like we don't have a lot of options just a couple got injured during the game its bad luck

in his 11 fc matches he has 15 wickets at 22 including a 4-66 although he was reported and subsequently cleared over his bowling action.
