LVCC - Somerset v Durham

The closeness of the inspections worries me. All suggests that we won't be far from a resumption.

Ho hum. Heavy rain again now. Big black cloud right over the ground. Covers coming back on. The rain dance may pay off yet!

And it pisses down in london as well

@sturayner: Scramble all covers! Heavy rain starting to fall again at Somerset v @DurhamCricket. Is 5th straight draw looming?

Bad news - @Martycricket: If there is no more rain here play will resume at 3.45pm as @SomersetCCC chase the remaining 80 runs needed. 9 wkts in hand. @DurhamCricket

Rushy, Arshad, Colly, Pringle, Breese (Any other bowlers that are fit to bowl atm)

Only Rushy and Arshad are quicks, and even Arshad has had injury worries lately. Stokes involvement in the Notts game is dependant on the say so of the ECB apparently, although seeing as how he's not centrally contracted, I wouldn't be happy if they said no if I were Jon Lewis.

Anyone know what the cut off time is regarding the rain. For example what time, if they come off, is regarded as 'too late' to go back on?

Tea taken early. Trust them to apply common sense when we don't want them to.

Remember a game against Notts at home about 2/3 seasons ago. They'd say around all day, then the umpires decided we could start at about 15:10, with Tea to be taken at 15:40.

I remember that as well. Umpires are too inconsistent on these matters.
