He wasn't hounded out of the club. He was backed pretty superbly during terrible runs of results.
The whole FGB was blown well out of proportion.
Why do you even want to defend a man who constantly tries to drag our name through the mud?
 

I thought that a while ago. Looking at him he reminds me of the plonky table at Dawdon Club in the 60s and 70s.
 
Not buying into the "I hate Bruce" shite, but in a stressful job like football management, he really should lose that kite! He'll not make 60!

How was it blown out of proportion? It either happened or it didn't and it certainly did!
He doesn't constantly drag our name through mud FFS he initially talked how he felt hard done by ( like every manager does) then said his heritage didn't help ( FGB chants back this up ).No more mention of us after this until Hull eventually played is and naturally the Sunderland link reared it's head again and once again he answered it.
The way people talk on here yad think he had a twitter account constantly berating us or he called press conferences with the whole agenda being based on bashing Sunderland.
We did have manager who did the latter called di canio who still has a lot of well wishers on here.Then again he wasn't a Newcastle supporter as a young un though!

He doesn't look good like. He always looks knackered and struggling to catch his breath. If he doesn't do something about his weight a heart attack will be on the cards shortly. Not that I would be crying into my Horlicks about it mind.
