England in Sri Lanka Nov-Dec 2014 - Provisional Dates

Not reading all that bollocks.

You blatantly missed the part where I said take out a couple of needless ODI's and replace with Tests. They'll be in the country a month, plenty of space for a couple of Tests and a few ODI's.

They've probably countered in the fact they will be needing one day practice as a more urgent need given the, erm, one day world cup coming up not long after.

But I'm sure they'll change it to suit you.

Barmy Army regulars rate Sri Lanka as being the best tour to go on. That said that's when there are 2 test back to back. But it's always been somewhere I fancy. I'm not sure I could be arsed with pointless ODIs to be honest but getting out of blighty does appeal nonetheless!

Hope they keep the prices reasonable for travelling England fans this time...

Sure they ripped the English off last time

It was free entry or £25 if you were white last time in Galle. I didn't have a problem with the Sri Lankans getting in for free as a test with no locals would have been horrible. What people had a problem with was us getting charged £25 when the previous Aussie test was £1.

As it was we and others got into every day with out giving then a rupee, the security was comical. Even with 1,000 doing that they'll have made a load off all the tour groups who paid though. The atmosphere in the ground was crap with loads of the independent lot boycotting the ground and watching my standing on Galle fort.

Its always been planned. Part of the Future Tours Programme. Sri Lanka are notorious for not finalising dates until the last moment.

From my limited knowledge of Sri Lanka they seem to have picked some funny venues to attract the English. Kandy (esp the old ground) was meant to be mint but if I went all that way I'd want a nice coastal one too.
