I've brought this up with this jardine character before, how long do you think Bruce would have lasted with that run of form at St James'? We had appalling form for 18 months he would have been chased out of town there well before that. How does that stack up with your 'fans' fault' argument?
I never said it was fans fault and neither did Bruce.i think h deserved to go:Whay bruce said was it didn't help being where he was from and given the chants I see no other option but to agree.
As for that lot up road then I agree he'd have been hounded. Some of then want pardew out and he done a great job much like Reid did. FFS no pleasing some people .[DOUBLEPOST=1394209769][/DOUBLEPOST]
He said that he "realises what it means" because he's from the north east. We can't really be blamed for having higher expectations than 2 wins in about 4 months after finishing 10th.
Look I don't dispute it was time for him to go but like I said any manager who gets the push always feels hard done by and Bruce no different I just think he was hurt with level of abuse from fans and I personally think it was out of order and levelled at him because he is a Geordie.Thr fat Geordie b@stard chant a bit of a giveaway really.

Intriguing comparison, as both Reid and Bruce had virtually identical records over the 25 games or so before their respective sackings. (I think Bruce was 24 points from 28 games, whereas Reid was 25 from 28).

In my experience, SAFC have never sacked a manager without them thoroughly deserving it.

That fucker had more excuses than than a bus full of drunken Russians (if you've worked with any Russians you'll know what I mean), he didn't get called Excuse Bruce for nothing.

Here we go again with the shit Steve Bruce craic.
Why don't our fans just accept they don't like him because he was a mag and be done with it? It's crystal clear the reasons behind the bitterness.
The bloke done a decent ebough job here to a point and certainly no worse than keane and oneil who basically walked away without even a murmur from the crowd in regards wanting then out.
Then again oneil was apparently a sunderland fan who worshipped Charlie Hurley so that was ok!
And before we start with the usual we dislike him because he claims to have been sacked for being a Geordie the "fat Geordie c@nt get out of our club" chants started before he got the bullet so that can't be used as an excuse.
Next line is usually "we have a statue of a Geordie outside our ground".Difference being he was a successful one so again that's fine.
No one can doubt our fans will give anybody a chance regardless of where there from but can't dispute minute it goes wrong the whole Newcastle thing will rear its head.
As for Bruce going on about finishing tenth, sacked for being a Geordie etc (he never said that either just that it didn't help) all he is doing is answering questions put to him unlike that complete buffoon di canio who arranged an interview to vent his spleen and played an almighty shithouse trick on oshea during it! Again not nearly as much vitriol aimed at him despite it being much much worse. Then again he isn't a mag though! :)

nah, since he left he's done nothing but bad-mouth the club.

Add to this he is a whinger, a moaner, a false person in all respects, thats why we think he is a clunt.

Because it isn't true.

That's right. They walked away without a murmer. Bruce hash,t stopped shouting the selective shite about his record. Home results?

In his final game when he would have to have been deaf and/or illiterate to have missed the comments on his appalling record and the comedies of his management.
Next line is usually "we have a statue of a Geordie outside our ground".Difference being he was a successful one so again that's fine.
Difference was the other Geordie was a good manager. F***king obvious.

Congratulations on a crescendo of inaccuracies.

Big Steve on the game...

"When you get to the last eight of any competition, you start to smell the hotdogs and there's nothing bigger than when cup finals are at stake."

:lol::lol:

I have just seen that :-)

And the pies, chips and the burgers eh Steve

The trouble with Bruce is he's a decent, quite likeable bloke for the majority of the time. Then he he starts about why he lost his job here, and loses all contact with reality. His revisionist history would even impress Hollywood.

his roots were clearly a problem for some people, so what he should let it go since he's the professional and it's his job, Bellamy was complaining that the Cardiff fans booed the team and it's not the Cardiff he knows (aye they used to be hooligans) but if these people want to go back to the good old days then let them play for 500 pounds a week and fans will be more understanding and boo less.

I don't hate him, but he has annoyed the shit out of me since he started his media campaign to change history.
Wish he would man up and admit he lost his job as he had lost his way.

Congratulations on a crescendo of inaccuracies.
Congratulations on a complete inability to look at the whole picture, or to respond comment by comment.

Bruce needs to shut up and get on with his life.

Calling yourself a legend...the vanity.
Notoriety is more apt, any knacker can manage that, like you are now.

This. MBH was a decent poster with a good knowledge of SAFC until he seemed to have a breakdown and became a wind up artist who was dull and up his own arse. He's gone and, like most posters who have drifted off, he hasn't been missed. He seems to be back now in another guise and is continuing the same dull patter as before. Its a shame because he could be canny at times, although anyone who considers themselves any sort of "legend" due to posting on a message board about a football team obviously has issues and needs to get over themselves.

Need to make your mind up. Either he went cos it was time to go or cos he was a Geordie.
Anyway I'm a Geordie, I'm also fat and can be a right bastard at times so who's to say it wasn't me they were chanting about, yet you never hear me whinging about it.

Considering we berate him for not being able to let go, we seem to have an awful lot of threads about him. Time to get over the bitterness, we're better with Gus and he's better with Hull.
