So he was poor towards the end?
Very poor yes as I said earlier the dismissal was fair enough but like all managers not just Bruce they feel it unwarranted so look for reasons. However he never said he got sacked because of this just that it didn't help and that's completely true because as I said the fans never turned on any other managers who were on similar downward spirals.

Did any other manager blame the fans for their slumps the way Bruce did?

It isn't though, its complete and utter bollocks.

SB had 3 similar downward spirals none of which were the fans fault

Well he is using them to his advantage both times

Gets job = big up his north east roots
Loses job = blame his north east roots

So like I said he never mentioned his roots as a potential downfall until after he left?
You could have saved all the delving through google archives at ridiculous articles to try and prove your ramblings if you'd just accept the truth in first place Bonny lad. Let that be a lesson.

What's to defend? It pretty obvious reason it was played isn't it?
Like I said in my initial post Bruce never said prior to being sacked he was under scrutiny because of his roots.numerous posters tried to say otherwise then came up with articles not even related in the slightest to what I said.
As for Wigan game itself I was there so anybody trying to say the abuse Bruce got was nothing out of ordinary are seriously in denial mind.
I don't mind if posters wana lambast the mags but at least be like me and say that I want nothing but the worst for them and if that was them in final last week id have been gutted rather than trying to make out it's all them that are bitter and we don't care because it's blatantly obvious we do.
I was in the grange the night graham Fenton scored and believe me that went up more than did when borini scored last Sunday!
Fans don't like Bruce because he was a mag FFS just admit it and be done with it.No big deal.

Yeah no other manager has had a go at our fans!![DOUBLEPOST=1394203671][/DOUBLEPOST]
What is ?[DOUBLEPOST=1394203496][/DOUBLEPOST]
I agree none were fans fault.Bruce never once said it was just trying to put a perspective on things from what I read.
Well why bring it up then?

you've threaded yourself in knots here marra. He is the one using his roots to gauge his managerial qualities not the fans

What???? I said he never mentioned his roots being an issue prior to sacking and you have proved he hasn't! What the fuckety fuck are you talking about man?

calm down dear, you stated he never mentioned his roots prior to the Wigan game, which he did, he subsequently mentioned them after the Wigan game too, in fact he talked about them a hell of a lot more than the fans ever did

No no no I said he never mentioned his roots being an issue prior to Wigan game (check through the posts) and I guarantee fans have mentioned it a helluva lot more than Bruce mind.Just check through the numerous Bruce threads on here to see that.

This,

All he ever did was mention his roots.

Even a year after his sacking he was still bleating on to his media pals about his roots and unfair treatment.

Yes he mentioned it AFTER his dismissal not before and this was due to the fat Geordie C@nt chants so he probably had good reason to.

"He never mentioned anything about his roots prior to this because why would he? "
