You don't get points for getting beaten in the cup, though. Some people seem to assume that if you play a weaker side in the cup then that means you have a better chance of winning the next game. I don't think it's that simple.
Neither do I, obviously I want to win on Sunday - I just don't want a reply

I claimed Bruce never mentioned anything about his Geordie roots being a factor until he was sacked and this is 100% true as your now digging up things to try and disprove this bit just come up with shit articles like that which just prove my claims.
What a fuckin idiot you are mind. You need to stop now like because it's getting embarrassing.

What was your opinion on MBH when he used to post here?[DOUBLEPOST=1394199711][/DOUBLEPOST]

Tough you just got one ;-)

Our friend @Mrjardine will be along shortly defending Bruce for those comments.
What's to defend? It pretty obvious reason it was played isn't it?
Like I said in my initial post Bruce never said prior to being sacked he was under scrutiny because of his roots.numerous posters tried to say otherwise then came up with articles not even related in the slightest to what I said.
As for Wigan game itself I was there so anybody trying to say the abuse Bruce got was nothing out of ordinary are seriously in denial mind.
I don't mind if posters wana lambast the mags but at least be like me and say that I want nothing but the worst for them and if that was them in final last week id have been gutted rather than trying to make out it's all them that are bitter and we don't care because it's blatantly obvious we do.
I was in the grange the night graham Fenton scored and believe me that went up more than did when borini scored last Sunday!
Fans don't like Bruce because he was a mag FFS just admit it and be done with it.No big deal.

You're just going round and round in circles now, on one hand you're slagging off SAFC fans for "obsessing" over the mags and on the other hand you're loving your fat lovechild Bruce talking about them. You don't understand what your saying anymore. Log off, you're having an absolute 'mare.

Wrong, you said he never mentioned his roots prior to the Wigan match and several posters have proved this to be incorrect

If that's the case then why was he was so heavily supported by our fans through the vast majority of his management? If the reason the fans turned on him was simply his "Geordie" roots then he'd have NEVER have had our support.
It simply turned sour towards the end when he started having digs at us in the press, and due to results. No more, no less.

Here we go again with the shit Steve Bruce craic.
Why don't our fans just accept they don't like him because he was a mag and be done with it? It's crystal clear the reasons behind the bitterness.
The bloke done a decent ebough job here to a point and certainly no worse than keane and oneil who basically walked away without even a murmur from the crowd in regards wanting then out.
Then again oneil was apparently a sunderland fan who worshipped Charlie Hurley so that was ok!
And before we start with the usual we dislike him because he claims to have been sacked for being a Geordie the "fat Geordie c@nt get out of our club" chants started before he got the bullet so that can't be used as an excuse.
Next line is usually "we have a statue of a Geordie outside our ground".Difference being he was a successful one so again that's fine.
No one can doubt our fans will give anybody a chance regardless of where there from but can't dispute minute it goes wrong the whole Newcastle thing will rear its head.
As for Bruce going on about finishing tenth, sacked for being a Geordie etc (he never said that either just that it didn't help) all he is doing is answering questions put to him unlike that complete buffoon di canio who arranged an interview to vent his spleen and played an almighty shithouse trick on oshea during it! Again not nearly as much vitriol aimed at him despite it being much much worse. Then again he isn't a mag though! :)
Because it's not true. I wasn't calling for him to be sacked when he went and I thought he did a good job to begin with. The fans weren't on his back when things were going well. But he lost the plot completely, dismantled a good team (which he had built himself mind) and started using excuses for verything.

As I said i wasn't really looking for him to be sacked when he went, but in hindsight, he had a win record of less than 30%, one home win in a year and his excuses were becoming annoying. Since he's left he's done nothing but moan about his sacking and I've come to despise the whinging prick. It's not because he's a Geordie though. I don't dislike geordies unless they're the type of benighted loser who goes on a message board and pretends to be a fan of their rivals team.

Don't baffle him with sense for fuck's sake.

FFS no they haven't.He talks about the region in general being a hotbed and that he understands because in from the REGION not that he's from Newcastle specifically. He then talks about us being bigger than just worrying about a Newcastle
game.Which by the way many posters still have a dig about his record in those games so again he not a million miles off in what he said.At no point did he say I'm under pressure because of where I'm from. This is a FACT so just move on.
I repeat not one poster had said anything to disprove my initial post because basically I'm correct.Simple really.

He waited until he failed before he used that excuse.

ha give ower lad, SB talking about being from the region is not bringin up his roots? hows that work like? (and in that instance to prove he is a good choice for the job) then when subsequently sacked brings up his roots again for losing the job.

Because initially he done a good job so his roots were conveniently swept
under Carpet but as soon as it went wrong low and behold he was a fat Geordie c@nt.
Oneil and keane were not being called Irish this that or other and they were equally as bad towards end.
As for the press like I've said he had his right to reply when left and did so.Havent got a problem with that personally but like all fans not just sunderland anybody having a little dig back and toys go out pram![DOUBLEPOST=1394202625][/DOUBLEPOST]

He didn't bring up his roots as a negative he actually used it as a positive so what exactly has he said wrong there?

So he was poor towards the end?
