Poyet interview

He's right. The players haven't got the mentality and patience to play the passing game. There's always one resorts to a long ball or attempted through ball which isn't really on. You need to wait for the opposition to make a mistake and have the balls to keep possession without forcing it all the time. I'm sure he means no blame on the fans, he's saying the players feel the pressure from the fans - this guy knows his stuff. Why do fans always take offence, especially when things aren't going great?

Ere, the players are on thousands of pounds a WEEK.

While we earn thousands of pounds a YEAR.

Those players should take responsibility for their own actions on the pitch, not try to pass the blame onto us lot. They make things happen on the pitch, not us.

Its an easy get out clause to blame the fans, when its their lack of talent on the pitch that is where the real problem lies.

If he wasnt an italian int people on here would be all over him giving him shit. Hes been the biggest dissapointment of the summer, he simply doesnt look suited to the game over here and looks like a lost little boy whos been called into a game with lads ten years older than him. Hes not fast he cant really beat a man and looks weak as piss.

It's got fuck all to do with his nationality. He's a good player who has been good for years. He has been mainly poor for us, but has also shown enough not to be written off too. He actually gets picked, meaning that he's far from being the summer's worst signing.

So, you don't think it's possible to feel pressure because you earn X amount of money? These things happen when you have a team at the bottom of the table - confidence drops, shit happens! So, yes, their lack of talent doesn't help matters - nowt the players can then do about it is there? Not their fault they are picked. Guess we should blame Poyet and just give up?

Don't think I've ever disliked a set of players more than this lot.

I've said this time and time again to be honest.

Every season I'm feeling less and less connected to the team. The club is in the blood and that will never change but the team ... There isn't a single one of our players that I feel anything other than contempt for. They get paid f***ing millions, yet week after week spoli the weekends of thousands of people .. A lot of people that spend their weeks in shit jobs getting paid fuck all, living in a grim area ... Etc

Modern football in general is fucked ...but SAFC are taking the piss, again

Not this season, not a chance. If he walked mid season with us adrift at the bottom he'd struggle getting a decent Championship job.
I'm thinking end of season. If we just miss staying up, they will see that as a good effort with this mob and Short's lack of investment.

I'm wondering what is going on here Bent, Gyan, Jones, Henderson, Cana, Mignolet, Sessegnon - sell to buy - and all of the TV money, what the hell is going on?[DOUBLEPOST=1388600907][/DOUBLEPOST]

But it is who signed them who is to blame.

We're ran buy a businessman with his head screwed on. Football is no place for people like that - you can't compete on the pitch and be sustainable off it. I suspect Short is looking to recoup some of his investment before f***ing off.

'Im fed up'

'Players trying to be the hero (shooting) rather than playing an extra pass, its a team game'

'Fans were getting frustrated and this transferred to the players who became more and more desperate as the game went on'.
I thought we over passed today,we played like we were 3 nil up,always wanting another touch then another pass.If you spun the pitch round 45 degrees we'd have been brill

My feelings exactly the players couldn't give a monkeys abt the fans anymore,we just turn up in our droves week after week and pay there wages and they don't even try.Yes confidence is a big thing but there's to many in this team waving arms at others for there own miss hit passes or mistakes always shifting blame instead of working for each other they should be closing the ball down tirelessly and working for the team for 90 mins to make up or their lack of ability there are too many individuals who believe there better than they really are at safc at the minute.

Even Steed had better long range efforts than Giaccherini. Everytime he prepares a shot you just know it's another wasted ball. Sess is world class at long range shooting compared to Giack. At least Stop Shooting ffs!

Well the fans are not to blame, so they can fuck off with that excuse.

He was the main signing though and cost a lot compared to the others. In relation to expectation, Id say he isn't far from the worse.
