I agree the final ball into the box is woeful. But altidores movement and reading of the game today was shocking .. You would think he had never played with the rest of the team before. Don't think he's got a football brain at all. Today was a water shed moment for me with him. This was a cup final and he played like a little boy lost giving the midfield very little outlet and making astounding decisions .. Not hitting that ball first time 12 yards out was scandalous ... What was he thinking about... No instinct at all.
Fletcher is twice the player... But so far off form you can see why he is not being picked. I would put altidore out on loan buy Ki and loan a quality striker.

The problem with Altidore i think is thats he's bought way too much into his own hype and thinks that he is much better than he really is. A bunch of goals in a poor Dutch league, where he got much more room and time, along with some good form for the US team, along with all the advertisements he does in the US and US athlete of the year awards, etc.

Sure he thinks of himself as a superstar, and playing in a poor Sunderland side is below him. Probably feels any criticism is totally unwarranted and thinks the problem is not him but service in the team.

I've never seen him put a good shift in for us. Always looks half arsed, doesn't close defenders or keepers down, doesn't make many worthwhile runs, doesn't create much space. Most of the game i just see him hanging around that end of the pitch waiting for something to miraculously happen, then he gets frustrated when it doesn't.

Plus always goes down way too easily looking for freekicks, really bad attitude and constantly acting like a little kid when he doesn't get things his own way. Very poor attitude imo.

With his time at Hull and now with us, it is clear as day he will not make it as a footballer in the prem league. Back to the Dutch or MLS league in the Summer, hopefully in Jan if we are lucky.

I basically said he was lazy yesterday and gutless. Not sure what part of that was wrong. Him being called an arsehole seemed to worry people on here more than him be fair.

He's not like...i've seen worse in my time but for whatever reason he's the wrong player at the wrong time for us and a damning indictment of the system that brought him here. I could see myself from a f***ing youtube compilation that there were issues with his 1st touch.

Oh yes this illustrious CM of ours has been white for some time now......... A joke seeing Larsson toil away in the middle, and despite the love affair Cattermole is a very very bog standard player as well.
