Altidore

He was injured when the chance came. Had been hobbling for a minute and came to him while he had pulled his ankle in fairness
That's one shite excuse for him not hitting it first time. When a chance comes and you're injured the pain gans away for a split second until after you hit the ball. You forget about it.

I don't mind sticking up for him.. Don't post shit excuses tho.

He should still have hit it first time and scored, I've already said that.

I disagree mate, they're all half chances at best really.

We've created enough chances to win games like today, chances a confident, half competent side would be putting away. Ki, Brown, Borini and Altidore all had good chances, as did Seb, albeit from distance. The lack of bottle in this side is terrifying.

I called him a f***ing arsehole on Twitter tonight and he called me a genius.

I'm happy enough with that exchange.

I mentioned it as a possibility of why he didn't hit it first time. I didn't say he made the right choice did I?
He doesn't have an excuse other than lack of confidence. That's it.
Not an injury. You've mentioned it might have been because he was limping, which is bollocks.[DOUBLEPOST=1387670419][/DOUBLEPOST]

Pissed off with him today and it was that or watch Strictly.

You need to grow up man

Abusing players on twitter is bellend behaviour. I despise larsson and Gardner but if I ever considered going on twitter to abuse I would be embarrassed.

Was obvious from early in the season that Altidore won't score goals in this league - he simply lacks the intelligence, movement and clinical finishing required. You can moan about the lack of service from midfield all you want but Altidore doesn't make the right runs, doesn't attack the ball from crosses and doesn't find the right spaces in the box. And when the ball does fall for him, he fucks it up. West Ham away prime example - cost us 3 points, Chelsea cup game could have cost us the match if Borini wasn't on hand to stick it in. Today he should have smashed that cut-back in first time, took a touch and the chance was gone. We cannot afford to carry a non-scoring striker - if Fletcher doesn't get his act together we MUST get someone else in in January who can score otherwise we will definitely go down. Altidore is not the man, it's as simple as that.
his movement is painful to watch like

Anything I want to achieve won't be via Twitter Nemo. The personal abuse was unnecessary but I'm sure he'll live. He was awful today though.

He's been a waste of a shirt thus far but I fail to see what slagging him off will achieve. His attitude is bad enough without offering him excuses.

Thats not gonna help.

He's not a PL quality player and has been promoted beyond his capabilities. He should be putting himself about more and making himself available every time a SAFC player gets the ball. He marks their defenders closer when weve got the ball than when theyve got it. Davenporting we used to call it.

Was hoping that his performance against Chelsea would be the turning point, but he's right back to where he started. An absolutely dreadful player who looks to be no improvement on Danny f***ing Graham.

Iam telling you Danny Graham is the best forward the club have for the way we play... Whether he would score any more goals is the debate... But others certainly would.
