Be funny if most fans thought like that. Let's see how full it got on a consistent basis when the team was doing poorly. You are not getting the bigger picture. It's not just a choice of not getting one. The club are actually alienating their most loyal fans. Fans who pay up front to watch games.

Stand outside the main entrance with a banner in protest but make sure you spell everything correctly.

Probably because you can afford it, if you were stretching yourself to get the season ticket you'd be pretty pissed off

They can't even give them away honestly though, someone asks the shop about the offer and are told it doesn't exist yet SBC has proven beyond doubt they do, it's amateurish

I'm not sure it is price. The club is extremely accommodating with the payment options for the season ticket and there are many reasons other than price why people purchase a season ticket.

Seats that are going to be empty may as well be filled.

I agree in principle but you read the other thread and you see the lad can't even afford a pint before the match, he's bound to resent the bloke beside him who hasn't committed being rewarded with a freebie and spending the cash on a gallon of beer

No need to be a **** about it. People are making valid points.

I wasn't being a whatever the 4 letter word of your choice was.
It's a great idea, you'll get far more response than airing disgust to a fraction of season card holders on here.

To counter this the club should give all season ticket holders free tickets for all cup games up to the semi finals. About time that loyalty was rewarded in some way.

I've always said the club should give free tickets for cup games to season ticket holders, one of the main reasons I binned mine was cos I got sick of all the free and cheap tickets the club gave away, when ST holders basically got shafted.

Update:

Chelsea (H): £10 Uni tickets.
Spurs (H): Free Uni tickets.
Stoke/So'ton (H): Free tickets with clubshop purchases over £50

Don't forget all the free tickets to ex ST holders that were dished out for the bin dippers game ;)[DOUBLEPOST=1386407717][/DOUBLEPOST]
Thing is, this type of thing, I believe, is decent promotion. It can essentially work Botha ways, "buy two tickets, get £50s" worth of gear from the club shop". That's fine. What's not fine is free tickets to students, who will spend more on "entertainment" than a lot of working people & the likes of DB getting fined to re-instate his DDR. It costs fuck all to set up a DDR.

best of it is all these student give aways, most of the ones that have been sat next to me haven't even been supporters, loads of southerners wearing cockney team colours, fucks me right off when I think off all the real supporters that would love to go, but can't cos they can't afford it.

Two FREE tickets to the Southampton game on Sat 18 Jan 2014. Read and weep boy, read and weep. Remember we had a choice of Stoke OR Southampton. SBC 1 - 0 SMB.

Not your photo, I saw it elsewhere. Quickly slip a bit of paper with SBC written on it and take another photo of them[DOUBLEPOST=1386408166][/DOUBLEPOST]

I am broke again, I am going to the match without a single pint....I paid my final season ticket installment yesterday.[DOUBLEPOST=1386408214][/DOUBLEPOST]

It's what he does, it is what he always does. He used to follow me around until I realised who he is. Then it stopped. ''Don't cry me baby!"

I cannot see how people (or the club) think that giving your product away for nothing works. If another say 500 season ticket holders jack it in every year, are they then going to give another 500 tickets away free to 'fill the ground' and make it look better.Where will you end up going down that road? more and more expensive ticket prices to cover the cost of them that want to take chance on a freeby. You don't see supermarkets giving owt away at the end of the week that they couldn't sell, because some people wouldn't buy during the week and wait for the free stuff, they either reduce it or take the hit and bin it.First rule of business is if you don't value your own product (or customers) no bugger else will.

The lad who sits beside me is a season ticket holder at uni, he said every game this season they are dishing tickets out at uni.

Great post mate. Unfortunately some people are blind to this.

And yet, as I said earlier in the thread, there is no evidence to show the negative impact on season card holder numbers - despite lots of shite football and the offer tickets being available for several years.

The only anger I've seen or heard around the offer tickets is from the same hand full of posters on here every season saying how unhappy they are.

The Club 'alienating their most loyal fans '. What absolute bollocks man.

I have but everyone has their cross to bear. The lad has bought his season ticket and made that choice, resenting the bloke next to him does nobody any good, drifting into setting one person off against another there.
People make choices and for all we know the people who are getting a free one might not have been able to afford one otherwise, should they be denied because somebody else is having a rough time? Are we going to start having a pop at people putting their ticket on stubhub when they could give it away for free?
I think the club does a pretty good job at ticketing and pricing for all, can't please all the people all the time though.
