Last season I didn't bother with a S/T and missed 4 games, I had 3 hand-outs and the rest I got discounted one way or another (apart from the NUFC game).
Much cheaper!

This season I have a S/T because I wanted a specific seat in the south stand but there's no doubt that season ticket holders do not get the maximum value for money you would assume

Some people are f***ing idiots. If you don't like the price of a season ticket then don't buy one. People keep banging on how is not worth it and you can get cheaper one off tickets from various sources. Absolute bollocks......
Free tickets from the uni.....I'm not a student or a member of staff so that point is totally irrelevant. Spend 50 quid in the shop and get a free ticket, straight away that's 25 quid more expensive than my season ticket price.
People are just moany bastards.
Last season I went without a season ticket for the first time in years and I spent more going to random matches throughout than if I'd just bought a season ticket.

Why should I be embarrassed?

I've no problem with cheap family tickets, cheap student tickets, ST £10 tickets offers, kids for a quid promotions, free armed forces tickets etc., but the raft of freebies doled out by the club at present grates somewhat when my family is shelling out over £700 for our ST's.

What do you propose they do with the empty seats? It's personal choice to buy a st, yet you winge like a bairn when the club try and grow their fan base.

That's why you're embarrassing....
 
Personal choice. For me I get my seat of choice, away tickets with no probs and no messing about going through the purchase routine every other week. Rather have the empty seats filled so no probs with the cheap, free tickets and as I'm not at uni, school etc. wouldn't affect me much. Agree that ST holders could be rewarded a little more maybe with cheaper cup tickets for example but I have had some good deals for early application on away games so not complaining too much.

How many more times. People are not to bothered about the odd free ticket to the youth or to people who wouldn't go anyway.

It's the fact that a lot of people would actually get a season ticket but they choose not to as they know cheaper individual tickets are available. I know loads of lads who packed it in for that reason. Yes, it may be a little fuck on sorting individual tickets out through offers or stub hub however, there is no way a person who chooses not to by a ST should see the same games I do for a cheaper price.

Be funny if most fans thought like that. Let's see how full it got on a consistent basis when the team was doing poorly. You are not getting the bigger picture. It's not just a choice of not getting one. The club are actually alienating their most loyal fans. Fans who pay up front to watch games.

Probably because you can afford it, if you were stretching yourself to get the season ticket you'd be pretty pissed off

They can't even give them away honestly though, someone asks the shop about the offer and are told it doesn't exist yet SBC has proven beyond doubt they do, it's amateurish
