New Music Releases Thread

That's another I forgot in the Album of the Year thread. It's a cracking album!

Dead Flowers "Midnight at the Wheel Club" is my album of the week. For fans of Tindersticks, Mark Lanegan, Tom Waits, John Grant, Leonard Cohen etc.
I heard one of the songs on the radio the other day so just bought both albums, first album was alright this one seems a lot better

Anyone enjoy Splashh's debut? If you want the CD or LP then go on Luv Luv Luv Records' online shop. The CD is about £3 and vinyl £6.50. Bargain.

I know we are not in 2014 yet, but really looking forward to the new Be Forest album. Out Feb 4th

War On Drugs for me, album out early next year, new song here:

Warpaint and Wild Beasts have albums out in the first couple of months too. It's going to be the year of the W's.

Saw them a few months ago the night before Chvrches, they were much better. Think it was free entry as well, only about 30 people there.

Not exactly new anymore but finally got round to buying the newest Lanterns on the Lake record. Still think 'Another Tale From Another English Town' is the song of the year.

I don't think any of these 2013 releases have been mentioned in this thread, I searched the boards and found nothing. I'll just go ahead.

Just getting round to listening to that track now, sounding very good.

Can't wait for the album. Smother was my album of 2011 (?). Seems like an eternity since that was released.

For any psych fans on here, if you have Facebook then 'like' this page: . They post all sorts of psych bands daily that are playing or have played the festival. I'd love to get over one year, it looks class!

edit: they're on Twitter too if you don't do Facebook:

That's right up my street, cheers for that mate. :)

I am excited about that too

Trying to remember what else I've been listening to... Pixies EP2 is better than EP1 but not up to their original stuff. Ah, Michael Head's mini-album, Artorius Revisited is very good, assuming you liked his stuff with Shack and The Strands.

Also, not new, but The Drones released a new album last year (in Australia only for CD/vinyl but available via iTunes here). It's very good!

Only heard EIY once so far but it certainly has some tunes that get wedged in your head.

My Warpaint record arrived the other day. Giving that a go now, so far so good...it's groovier than the debut.

Tried the Outfit album today too, inconsistent but enjoyable enough. Will have to give that a proper go at some point.
