Has Benks left the club?

Rayner saw the same release from the Dolphins that I did in the OP. He contacted the club to see what's happening and they said they would release something official which just seems to be a wipeover with Jon Lewis stating that the club "hoped" he would be back next year.

This has been a good season on the field for Durham this year and if we won the title, that would be the icing on the cake.

It doesn't gloss over however that the admin side appears to be a shambles. There was the business with Yvette, Cotton Traders, Austins, the salary cap, the shutting down of LMC, the problems with the members lounge, ...etc...etc.

If we win the title it will be in spite of the running of the club, not because of it. Maybe Peppa Pig will do a better job of running it.

Nice one i noticed on his twitter feed and that of Marty Emmerson that a Durham supporter had contacted them with the article about Benks new coaching job. Unlike us iam sure they have a contact number for him. They both obviously did not know about it before the tweets.
 
Interesting times ahead but the one saving grace appears to be the younguns coming through look good.

Got to say the off field stuff does appear to lack a bit sadly.
 
Tim Wellock in the Northern Echo also has doubts about Benks return -
