New Music Releases Thread

MONEY's debut is out today. On the one listen I've given it so far it's sounding very good. If you want to find it in Spotify then search albums for The Shadow Of Heaven, searching for Money makes it hard to find.

Loving this song. Like a cross between Austra and Warpaint.

The new Franz Ferdinand album is decent and worth listening to for the South Shields reference in track 4.

Downloaded Drenge and King Krule the other day. Listened to Drenge and wasn't that impressed on first listen, very standard. Gonna try out King Krule in the next day or two.

This thread and the other new music/youtube thread are the two best on here.

Julia Holter's "Loud City Song" is very good. Kind of electronic Joanna Newsom. Also, impressed by "Home Life" by Andrew Cedermark. He was guitarist in Titus Andronicus at one point. His solo stuff is reminiscent of them but not as upbeat. Reminds me a bit of Kurt Vile.

Julia is obviously awesome as one would expect.
Andre Cedermark - didnt grab me, will try again
Money - hmmm, underwhelmed

I need to listen to Money. Night see them at End of the Road this weekend, depending on timings etc.

Just had the one listen of money and quite enjoyed it. Will definitely give it another listen.

Had a play through of king krule, can't decide whether I like him or hate him lol!

Have Keaton Henson birthdays on at the minute, absolutely beautiful record

This was the first post that came up for me when trying to find this thread, weird. You got that Money album early! Not out until later this month iirc, I've booked up to see them.

This thread could get a nice boost now we can embed YouTube videos.

Aye, get most stuff a month or two in advance. One of the perks of the job ;)

Shameless plug, but I recently worked on the debut EP from this chap. Check out the lead track below, got a lot of positive press off it from the US and UK alike.

Cloud Control's new one is on Spotify. On first listen it sounds as I feared, less weird and pretty dull. Will obviously give it more of a go through the week.

I tried it again last night but I'm struggling to get into it, there's a few good songs (the two singles, Happy Birthday, the last track) but its let down by a few of the others, track 3 is rubbish.

No Ceremony's album has arrived from seemingly nowhere, it's pretty good too. I'd probably enjoy it more if I hadn't been playing the released singles all year..

Guardian are streaming Factory Floors debut album here -

Not quite sure what I think on first listen.

It's a bit meh in my opinion

This is the only time I have ever tracked a thread btw.
I love it

Off to see Matthew E white and lanterns on the lake tonight
