LVCC D1 - Durham v Surrey

I see Brandon was being his usual dull self earlier.

Is this the most runs for the loss of 2 wickets at Durham for us this season?

You know how it works Aleem. Besides, one good first innings knock all season doesn't make a summer. As the popular saying sort of goes.

Now Smith is out, surely the time to have a bit of a dart is upon us. Last. 12 or so overs tonight and then 14 in the morning will be all that'll be left to get us bonus points and it would be a crying shame if we don't get at the very least 4 batting points after the platform Badger and Smudger built.

Of course one knock doesn't make a summer but saying sarcastically that so and so will "surely score a ton" is hardly decent craic either. Far too many people are quick to get on backs before they've even crossed the white rope.

I hardly think that comments made on an Internet forum really make any difference to the outcome of the game.

Good day today. Definitely our day. Good toss to lose seemingly. Like to see the lads still to come play some shots in the morning. Need to make it to 350 after 110 overs and then go berserk and pile on the agony. Meant to get a bit rain on Days 2 and 3 so we need to get a wiggle on I reckon.[DOUBLEPOST=1377200492][/DOUBLEPOST]The BBC are a set of c*nts. 'Tremlett shines after Oval omission'

I really hope Marty didn't write the article! Surely the story of the Day was Scotty's ton?? Or the bigger picture that Durham are well on top after Surrey's decision to put us in?[DOUBLEPOST=1377201148][/DOUBLEPOST]Actually, can't be Marty - "Tremlett bowled Matthew Stoneman with the 11th ball of the match."

You are not getting away with it that easily.

We all know that Geoff Cook spends sessions sitting on the balcony searching the SMB on his phone and that any negative comments are immediately relaid to the lads in the middle by a highly developed form of sign language. Jennings dismissal was YOUR fault and YOURS alone and we will not forgive or forget.;)

As you say. it was a very good day for us and we obviously need to build on it tomorrow, hopefully get that last bating bonus point and a few more runs besides and then its down to our hugely reduced bowling attack to bring home the bacon. The Yorkies are winning again so if we can grab a win here, at least we go to their place still very much in the mix. Beat them at Scarborough and all bets are off. I think the Yorkies are clear favourites this year and seem on great form, but you just never know. Nicking it from under their noses would be sweet.

Seriously considering a cheeky trip down to the Yorkshire riviera on Friday week if I can organise the time off.

Fuck. I'm going to have to wrap in I think. Maybe go away for a while. Get away from it all......

Seriously though - - that article is absolutely astonishing. I thought at 309-5 we were well on top, but after reading that I realise we're in deep shit and that Tremlett is the new Glenn McGrath [DOUBLEPOST=1377205250][/DOUBLEPOST]Also, is there no chance whatsoever of Onions manning up and turning out at Scarborough?!
