If the rain here in Cornwall is heading North, zero chance of any play today.

it is...

the rain, like the toss is luck of the draw. some you win, some you lose and both play an integral part of allowing a side to win the game... sure the aussies will be pissed off if they can't get a full day tomorrow but that's the way test cricket goes.

maybe every test should be played in dubai between november and february... (that's on the cards surely?)

Tremlett was amazing in the last ashes down under, why not see with the ashes regained if he is anywhere near back to his best?

If you like, I'm just saying it would be harsh on Bresnan who comfortably outbowled Anderson and Broad in this match.

Still raining here in M21.

Going to leave work at 11 and head home to watch the rain.

8-)

Best of both worlds, off work and get to see the aussies being pissed off.

Covers are coming off

I presume Australia have declared

Balls! I hope we try to play some shots rather than dig in. I really don't see the point of going ultra defensive in a situation like this. It just invites pressure and doesn't pose any threat to the opposition. At least if we're keeping the scoreboard ticking over the Aussies have to be wary of the possibility we might actually win.

aw crap, this could spoil the fun.

would be funny if we are 7 down at tea and then it pisses down and it's called off.
