Need them atleast 7 down tonight like.

Batting easy as fuck now. 114-4 at Close I reckon. Then probably bat until Tea tomorrow in fine conditions.

We're going to have to score 400 in the second innings I reckon. Fancy them for another 100 atleast tomorrow Im afraid :-?
 
Hopefully overcast in the morning and they don't get too far ahead which looks inevitable at the moment. Still in it though.
 
Fact of the matter is our batting lineup is frail.

Too many with potential who often flatter to deceive and the likes of Smith just arent good enough (first class average of 31.... Dire for a frontline batsman). Not sure who manages our accounts & f•cked the Salaries up but not being able to bring in an overseas player this term has made our life much more difficult.

There will be blokes flown over to play club cricket this year who would offer us more than Will Smith or Gordon Muchall have in 4 day cricket.
 
So can anyone tell me the last time we scored 500 in first innings? We may indeed go on to win this, we may well end up with a small lead :shock:. However our batting really does need some serious improvement.

Stokes' batting has for me been the flop of the season :oops:. Really don't understand what's happened to him. I've no idea what the funding situation will be like next year but top priority should be a 1000 run a season top order batsman. Whether that be an opener or a 3/4.

Smith and Muchall are the whipping boys, both are honest journey men county cricketers who should have been released a while ago. But if you talk about salaries then it is the big earners who are not doing the buisness who have cost Durham the most and prevented them from signing quality overseas players.
They got their fingers burnt giving Harmy a four year contract and then did not learn their lesson by giving a 37 year old Benks a 3 year deal and then Colly a 3 year deal. Collys record for Durham is no better than Smith or Muchall before or after his time with England.

I wouldn't care, they're f***ing shite aswell you know. Murtagh and Collymore as strike bowlers :shock:. There's only Robson and Voges who would get in our team and they're both foreigners!

Great work from Bunny this morning. Oh and he's out bowled Finn - wonder if that gets noted by the media :roll:.

Need to finish them off sharpish and bat, long. 300 lead gives us a good chance of a win. Either way we need to still be batting at lunch tomorrow I reckon.
 
Middlesex 168 all out.

Fantastic effort by the bowlers and we are right back in this. Hopefully knock off the 25 lead without loss and I would make us favourites here.
 
25 defecit. Good work with the ball. Need to graft this afternoon. The top order need to finally come to the party. 300 atleast needed second time around.
