Bradman's debut was a bit underwhelming

79 and 112 in his second game

40 and 58 in his third game

123 and 37 n.o in his fourth

and so on...

Tendulkar scored 15 and DNB in his first test
Lara 44 and 5

Tendulkar was 16 when he made his debut

Lara - most of the commentary guys on sky that played against them both say Lara.

Much as I may not be their greatest fans if Ponts and Nasser said Lara, that's enough for me.

But I would have the Don as no.1

Ricky Ponting rates Lara as the better of the two what are
people's opinion on here? Personally I agree with him.

Certainly more talented, but flamboyance isn't everything

Nurtured or not, he was 16. 16!!

Wayne Rooney was only 17 when he debuted for England and may well break Bobby Charlton's goal scoring record. Does this make him the best England striker of all time?

Bradman was 20 when the average age of cricketers was 30-odd.

Bush cricket to world record holder in three years.

Tendulkar is not even in the top 20 batsmen for averages.

Anyway Wisden agrees with me so ner.

Number 19 on the list like

Lara.

And even I didnt really think it Id say it cos Tendulkar is a slefish wanker (refuses to move up the order when the team needs him, hates the DRS cos he know he'd be out a lot more and umpires shy away from giving it when in India).
