Just me or is this thread a bit knacked? We are on page 29. Says there is a page 30. But if you click it it takes you to the top of page 29
Roger out
You keep saying it, and I'll keep answering it.
Two Tests against New Zealand were effectively a battle for two spots between Bairstow, Root and Compton.
Compton lost because:
a) He scored less runs
b) Never looked like it
c) Is the wrong side of 30 and has had a rank average career.
Joe Root is an opener, who has opener his entire career, it is anything but crazy. So I'll ask again. How long would you wait before you let your new star opener, err, open?
Clarke must have known he'd hit that. Stupid review just trying to weasel out of it when he knew he was out. Cheating bastard!
If Broad had overstepped, the review would have stopped then and there and he would have been not out. That's why it's always the first thing that gets checked when a review is requested.
did they show 'snicko' on the tele. i've only seen the highlights and they didn't show it...
like you said he must have known he'd nicked it.
Even though the umpire was only asking to confirm it had carried? I wasn't talking about Clarke asking for it to be reviewed, just the umpire checking it was taken cleanly.
Hotspot and snicko both showed the edge. He also snapped his head back after it past him, which is a sure fire giveaway.

Got an awful feeling the aussies will nick this.![]()
It's only an option mate, relax
Who will be coming in for Bairstow then?
can't believe he referred it then, hopefully he keeps this style of captaincy up as it will help us keep the urn here....
Fine thanks.
It's a straightforward question that you can't/won't answer, that's the point, it's a piece of piss to sit around saying this and that are shit without backing it up...
Root is ten times the player Compton is, so he opens.
If Bairstow continues to fail, James Taylor is next in line I reckon.

Technically the review should only be called for if its an absolute blunder by the umpire, (well that was its purpose) but many are using it tactically. You could even argue that we shouldn't have reviewed the Swann wicket as it was very very marginal in terms of whether or not it pitched in line so the umpire hadn't made a terrible call.
Did Strauss only take the job at sky so he can complain abut everyone who ever criticised one of his decisions as captain?
