England v India - Champions Trophy Final

The third umpire was a disgrace.
Prior should be in the ODI team.
We still cannot play spin.
The groundsman wants sacking for preparing a turning pitch.
Bresnan is a pointless ODI inclusion, average bowler can't bat.
Morgan and Bopara should have won it.
Fair play to India.

Bruce Oxenford was paid off by the BCCI. Simple.

That stumping of Bell and also that 'four' that was nowhere near the rope.

Analyse the player performance all you want.

We lost that match due to a terrible 3rd umpire decision, who seemingly went against video evidence to give bell out.
It doesn't help but ravi and morgan fucked it both threw their wickets away.

What the fuck was ravi doing moaning about the height when he hit it f***ing schoolboys know the rule about you can be out from a wide.

ishan didn't f***ing deliver
nick knight is a cunt it's never englands fault, blatantly looking to be involved in the ECB hierachy.

I dont think the Bell dismissal hindered us actually. It was looking like an inconsequential moment after Morgan hit Sharma for 6 and then followed it up with two wides.

20 from 15 required at that point with two set batsmen. It was thrown away with poor shot selection from Morgan, then Bopara, then Buttler and then some suicidal running.

We got over the Bell dismissal and got ourself back into the game, needing 20 off 15.

Our batsmen threw it away ultimately, it is a kick in the balls with the 3rd umpire being a prick, but we had that won

This. Losing 3/4 wickets in a few overs lost us the game not the Bell decision.

How can a third umpire study video evidence and get it wrong?

With that extra wicket we would have won, simple as that.

couldn't disagree more.

Bell wasnt out and it was a poor decision but I dont think that lost us the game. The game was in our own hands and we chucked it away with three poor cricket shots in a short period of time.

The overthrows in their innings weren't helpful and nor was the poor guesswork umpiring decision to award four when the ball was retrieved at the boundary by Bresnan but these were wrongs we had the opportunity to right

Nobody knows what would have happened.

What we know DID happen was we got back into it, needed sensible batting and threw it away

Ok, bell wasn't out and it was a poor decision.

How can a third umpire who has watched video evidence not see this?

no idea. It was an absolute shocker. At best the videos were inconclusive and at worst (from the umpires point of view) he was in. Benefit has to be given to the batsman.

The decision to award four earlier when the ball didnt hit the ropes and no line had been drawn was also guesswork. Third umpire needs a kick up the arse.

Easy to not mention it but it was a very good game as well mind. Especially as we werent expecting one to get under way. Would rather lose a marginal game than share a none contest

Listen to you moaning twats lol

England played well in the tourney and were narrowly beaten by a good side

Dodgy decisions are as much part of cricket as footy

This. We blew it, end of with 2013 Mike Gatting sweep equivalent shots and stupid running.

When Morgan hit that 6 and Sharma bowled 2 wides we had the game in our hands.:-(
