Will he miss any Championship cricket for us? I'm over the moon for Ben like but it's always bittersweet when one of our lads gets called up!
Is it not during the t20 break anyway?
Really pleased he's got a chance to show he should be in the 1 day team. Surprised at Bairstow being dropped.
I'm flabbergasted that that Dernbach is in

Probably on the back of his bowling this season really, he's clearly got the ability to hit big but it's his bowling that seems to have come on most.
Hadn't he just come back from his smashed hand and couldn't bowl last time he played for England?
Sounds right to me, pretty sure when he played against India in 2011 his hand was in strapping.
Either way I think his bowling has come on, at times last season he looked a very innocuous seamer.
Bowled some brilliant spells this season
Batting in the shorter forms of the games have been better
Will be an England regular before long in all formats. Sheer Class and will go close to breaking a lot of records
Think he is behind Bairstow in tests and who knows about Ravi but would like him to be in the Ashes squad at the end of the year.
Once gets bit of consistency with the bat in 4 day game, name me a player in county cricket who is (obv not yet) averaging 40 with the bat and mid 20s with the ball who is English qualified??

I'm not a big one for averages in county cricket to be honest. Too many variables - playing at Durham makes it easier for his bowling and more difficult for his batting. I do agree though from what I have seen he is a class act.
