That won't be enough mate. The pitch is flat and the sun is shining. Even without Clarke I can see them chasing 300 down no problem. I'm just thankful that Dernbach isn't playing

Hmm true, I do think Morgan should of come in ahead of Root

Fully supportive if English tactics in the main but they need to push on bit earlier

so would you drop the captain the lad whose still in on 85 or the lad who averages 50
If we want to stand a chance of winning a 50 over trophy aye.

The aussies open with warner and watson and they are capable of getting 100 from the first 10 overs a lot of one day sides can do this we will not with 3 test players.

On a pitch like this 6+ an over is par anything under is poor.

Wouldn't have had Bopara in before Butler. He looks canny against county attacks with the small Essex boundaries, but against the Aussies......

Take it all back!

Ha! You were right tho England were well set but they don't know how to accelerate in a batting power play.

Oh and now it's Ravi time! The chances he's had is beyond belief

A very rarely get annoyed when watching cricket, but I do when Bopara bats for England, he's not good enough

Over halfway through the innings and we are 116/1.

I'm sure NZ scored over 100 in 10 overs the other day.

That could go both ways though.

If you keep wickets in hand but don't score quickly, you give yourself the option of scoring 100 or so in the last 10 overs.

In theory of course. In reality we've just lost a few wickets.

I should stress I'm not actually advocating the approach.

This is terrible.

We may well get to something close to 300, but these tactics are a good 20 years out of date. We can't rely on the likes of Morgan and Buttler to come off every game.

This and yet people having a dig at me as i'm questioning why we are playing 3 test players in the top 3.

They should be playing, it's more their attitude, Bell can play all the shots but he's under strict instructions not to.
