Not really, scoring far too slowly on a wicket like this. I don't know why we can't just knock it about for 6 an over with this top 3, don't have to hit loads of boundaries to do that but they play too many defensive shots without even looking for a single.

1 or 2 of the top scoring at this rate is ok, 3 is just not good enough. I know he's not had a good start to the summer but we need someone like Hales up front if KP isn't fit.
 
Its been mentioned alot but 280 isn't a good score in ODI cricket now.

Every innings you must be aiming for 330 surely?

Do we have the fire power to do that?
 
Surely the Aussies will be happy with this.

Why would they want to take any more wickets now and risk Englands middle order bashing the ball about when they can keep these two in (who might be going at a run a ball by the end of their innings)?

They will be happy other than just 1 wicket down.

England do need to have a rethink about the top 3. They're all too similar. Bell has that really shite ability to find the fielder when he plays a wonderful shot! Frustrates the life out of me as he has wonderful technique.
 
That over v Johnson is exactly what this top 3 should be doing throughout with the aggressive running and pushing the field

We are going under 5 an over in one day cricket utterly pointless. India had 150 up after 20 over the other day, they lost there way in the middle but still ended up on 330 we are relying on morgan and buttler in every match

and thank fuck trotts gone we might actually start seeing some one day cricket

That won't be enough mate. The pitch is flat and the sun is shining. Even without Clarke I can see them chasing 300 down no problem. I'm just thankful that Dernbach isn't playing
