anyone heard anything by !!! (chk chk chk)? I've been told by a couple of people to listen to them but don't anything they've done before...

I think that's a brilliant record, probably my favourite debut since 'Queen Of Denmark' (with a courteous nod to Laura Mvula!). At times it reminded me of Leon Russell in 'Carney' days. Late addition to EOTR?!?

We can hope. I reckon he'll be exceptional live!

I've mostly been listening to bands with the word Hiss in their name this week. Purling Hiss and Hiss Golden Messenger. Names I've known, largely via Uncut, but never got beyond tracks on the cover CD. The former are poppy stoner rock (Dinosaur Jr with hooks) and the latter are, er, stoner folk.

Very lo-fi, I like them. I've had the Holydrug Couple on today, I am enjoying those too.

I've got the PSB album pre-ordered so it should arrive soon. Listened to the Neon Neon album last night. It's very good. Not as immediate as the first album but still very good.
 
Hmv wonder why they are in the shit?

A new album with a decent amount of hype and they don't have it in stock in an admittedly small branch. And yet they have approximately 2,656 copies of the savages record.

Should have paid £12 at the independent shop in hindsight

Not listened to it yet and only heard Meltdown off the new album, if that track's anything to go by I'm looking forward to it. His first album was a good effort if you haven't heard it before.
