I'm not sure what your point is to be honest.

He is 39 years old, of course he is on his way out. And clearly not the player he was 5 years ago.

But any batsman can go through a bad trot. KP failed twice in the first test after all...

He is the best batsmen of an outstanding generation (Lara, Ponting, Dravid) but is clearly finished.

Crazy to think he played v Eng in 1990 when Gooch was scoring 333 at Lords. IIRC he took an amazing catch to dismiss Alan Lamb when he and Gooch had batted for hours....
