It isn't really. It makes no difference to anything in the world.

It does, of course it does, Sunderland is classed as a CITY!

You have now got me wanting you to read up on it...

You are going to look up me not recognising sunderland as a city? The internet really does have everything.

Just accept its a City, its not a town, its not in County Durham.....c`mon H you can do it, deep breaths......:lol:

I live in a modern vibrant European city not some provincial backwater village outside a scruffy working class town.

Of course you do....:lol::lol:

Last question :lol:

When the skunks fans were at the SOl last season and were singing Sunderland's a shit hole I wanna go home did you join in ? ;)

smelly poo

I tapped my foot and hummed it, is that ok...

but what do I need to face up to? I still go down the town and in my mind it will always be a town. nothing to face up to. The change of status made no difference at all to the place.
i believe the unwashed tyneside masses also call their city the town or something similar.
in fact i think it's a common usage all over the country for people to go into town. i've never heard many people at all say they are going into the city unless it's london, which has a specific area called the city.

Shields. cannot be sunderland it's a city.
:lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:
game set and match.

You have not read the whole thread have you...

You really should, Harry could not accept Sunderland is a City, but eventually came round to the concept of a City status, now off you trot...
