It seems that way. He does seem to have an attitude problem. Years ago when I spoke to one of the club directors about Harmy first getting an England contract and telling him we probably wont see much of him, he replied "They can keep him for all I care".

Good bowler, maybe not a good mixer (Flintoff aside).

But he got 730 first class wickets, which minus his test haul is 500 for Durham at 26-27 a piece. Not a bad player to come through the ranks eh?

He's done very well, but I'm more concerned about what is happening now as opposed to looking back to the past.

The loan move was the best thing for all concerned.

That's fairly odd logic.

He has played well for Durham for a number of years. Better than most of the kids coming through. I didn't say I wanted to give him money or owt, he earns a good whack

It's a bit like hating Phillips for leaving whilst loving Nyron for being a bit crap.

Not sure, more concerned about staying in the division at present.

Harmison has served club and country amazingly well in the past. Last couple of year at Durham have been a shambles though. Good luck to him at Yorkshire, but I hope for the sake of everyone, he doesn't return to Durham. I wonder if he'll start and whinge at Kent, seems they have his brother playing 2nd XI cricket.

You could argue Collingwood came after Harmison and is England's most capped ODI player, has the most ODI runs for England, best match figures for an all-rounder, a World Cup winning captain and has a double hundred down under against Warne and McGrath.

I find it amusing that a few cricket writers/commentators who never spoke highly of Colly or rated him when he was playing tests, started saying 12 months later that England had missed him, a guy that could come in at number 6 or 7 and could bowl a few overs

As strong as the test side is, he's still not been replaced at number 6.

I really think his outstanding fielding often encouraged the "critics" and "pundits" into undervaluing the contribution he made with bat and ball. Morgan has shown similar fielding agility in the same position and, although he is unquestionably a brilliant hitter at number 6, he lacks some of the other attributes that Colly brought to the England team.
 
Ironic that Harmy goes to Yorkshire to get more first team cricket and he's hardly bowled because of the weather.

Not sure if he would have played in the first team had he stayed with us but he would have been lethal on that Arundel wicket.
