I don't see Gordon at fault for either goal. As for the second goal...

1. If he came out for the ball then I really don't believe he would have got close given the angle, pace and height the ball was delivered; and

2. If he had come out to reduce the angle and Kevin Davies played the ball back across the goal to the other Bolton player in the penalty area then it would have left his goal completely exposed.

He was, therefore, much better off positioned where he was. And his foot was not on the goal line.

How anyone can't see that the 2nd goal was Gordon's fault is beyond me.

Just watch it man, Gordon is petrified to leave his line.

The only place that has criticised Gordon is this board.

I've seen it about 10 times and I still can't decide what the hell Kilgallon is doing.

Whilst he is far from a flop and a decent keeper, he adds to a less than distinguished list of disappointing record signings for us.

shhh, you cant say that

can you imagine peter schmeichal (sp) on that cross?

Anyone blaming him for the 2nd knows absolutely ferk all. The defence was far too deep, the ball wasn't from deep, the cross wasn't high enough and Gordon is not Usain Bolt. No pressure on the cross and Kilgallon got drawn too deep and lost his man.
