You're not one million percent right at all though. A goal keeper should make his goal smaller by closing down a man who is one on one with him, not for a bloody volley like todays goal, what Gordon done was correct.

what let the ball in?

it was headed like something from Shaolin soccer, Gordon had nee chance

i dont beleive that to be true, with the benefit of a million tv cameras and a beer and an arm chair, to me it looks like his instinct was to protect his near post

im a million percent right, ive even heard players (keepers and defenders) talk about it on telly

its basic geometry

if you are a pelanty taker , would it be harder for you to score if the keeper was on his line, or half way towards you?

classic smb, just because youve never heard it , it must be bollocks

so because you say it, its right?

do you agree the defender should have done better?

im the one telling you, i'm not the one saying it,its basic defending practice for pros

when have i ever said that crag gordon was the only one at faulut and that the goals were his fault alone?

walter's right there mind....the focus is what could gordon have done better.....there's no doubt killa could have been backing into Davies and even that the crosser could have been closed down better.....

not once have you mentioned a defender apart from your "dont stick a leg out" bollox

ive sat and watched premier goal keepers talk about it on football focus etc

you step to wards the ball to narrow the angle rather than stick a leg out so it can deflect anywhere

you can take a horse to water....

enjoy youre evening
