Warks need 59 off 12 for a 4th point

41 off 7

38 off 6. ooooo

Don't even seem to be going for this

32 off 4

17 off 10 balls. Surely must go for it...

13 off last over needed...

Ambrose gone anarl

12 off 4

Two 6s needed 8-)

That is a genuine cock up surely

Maybe not a 5 point wicket, but surely 4....

Hampshire 143-3 against Lancs. All 3 wickets taken by our spinners, musthave missed Liverpool turning into a dust bowl!

Longer the better. Notts are quite strong batting, so could match any total.

Lancs look likely to win now, Hampshire on the ropes at 153/4.

Still confident if Lancs have to bat again and the rain finally hits like its been threatening.

Maximum bowling points and a draw would put us level with you. Would make it a cracking final round if that was the case.

Looking at the table, if we don't win it then lack of batting bonus points will be the key factor. We've won one more (hopefully 2 after this game) than you but just picked up way less points. The perils of having a fully homegrown batting line up!).

If Durham don't win it by minor points, it goes back to the innings declaration against Hampshire that'd seen us with at least the 3 extra points for the draw.

one of them though. if we lose it by 10 points we could look back to that and say maybe we should have gone for a one innings match.

still think its a bit unfair on the team doing the deal, both sides should forfeit their second innings - that way we could still have got batting points

also it cant be a coincidence that our poor form has coincided with onions, stokes & borthwick going away with england, 3 losses and one draw in the 4 games we played without ben & scotty

Hampshire now 183 for 4 and I would not say that is one the ropes. One good stand from here puts them well over half way to Lancs total.

To be honest, neither of these games are clear cut wins yet for our rivals, Warks have just declared on 574 but they need to take 20 Notts wickets and they could easily lose time to rain, plus who is to say that Notts wont pass 574 with 20 wickets?

Both Lancs and Warks are favourites with Warks being odds on, but its not a certainty.

If I was having a bet now though, I would pile it all on Warks to win the title. They have given themselves a great chance.

Its safe to say Warwickshire can't lose now, mind I'm hoping for a load of rain in the midlands to stop them taking 20 wickets. I'm also going to be greedy and hope Notts keep them out meaning they lose bonus points. Although a one bowling point and a draw would put them above us in ay case. I think they've probably thought of that - the whole go top with a game to go and deal with it next week so to speak.

Lancashire need a win it seems to overhaul Warwickshire this week and Hampshire are 228-5 - 10 away from avoiding the follow-on but that one could be interesting over the next couple of days as both teams need a win really. Whereas Notts will mainly just be after batting practice as their inability to take 9 wickets in 110 overs mean their title hopes have gone.

Forecast for Birmingham is good tomorrow  -

Forecast for Liverpool is even better :-( -

Hampshire now up to 228-5 and Notts 37 for 0.

If these games are draws and both Lancs and Warks take full bowling points then I take it they would get 10 points each from the games and the table would look like this;

Warks 213
Lancs 212
Durham 211

That would set up some finish to the season. Lancs have 26 overs to take 4 wickets or they would drop another point and we would be level. If Notts can then get to 110 overs with 5 down then it could even be a three way tie:shock:

Warwickshire only got 3 batting points - so with max bowling points and a draw they'd get 9 points.

Close at Liverpool. Hampshire 229-5.

Edit - Turner out. Notts 54-1

324 for Notts is the magic number, because if they get there I think Warks will struggle to set them a target and then bowl them out again. We are virtually at the end of day 2 in that game, so for Notts to get those runs will take a fair chunk of tomorrow out.
