game didnt start until 3:35 everyone at the ground knows this to be true but lets not get away from the great effort from brandon lads to get it on.could be interesting if the esh lads make an offical complaint to the league

they won't do anything as its up to the umpires to enforce the rules

clearly the umpires didnt know the rules.i think the two involved are new to our league this season

Es benefitted from a 'dodgy' decision to play in wet conditions in their home game with Shildon so to be fair it's probably evened itself out. Add to the fact Esh have lost more games than Brandon and you have to say they've had more than their share of luck in profitting from the weather.

Win on Monday and Esh will deservedly be champions however.

New to the whole cricket thing, but eh? You have to have the game started by a certain time?

Surely if you can get the game played, you get the game played?

You'd think so marra wouldn't yer?! 3.30 only allows for a 2 hour delay. Interestingly too, 2 hours were lost, meaning 30 overs (1 over per 4 minutes) were lost, 30 out of 90 overs (45 a side) is 60 overs so really it should/could have been 30 overs a side. I'm just being pedantic now mind!

Baffling like.

Both umpires and Brandon were ready to start before the cut off time. Any punishment would be applied to Shildon who were not ready having been given adequate time, but come on how desperate would you be to argue that point. Shildon didn't even bother to turn up when we played them away and nowt happened

Wrong

I spoke to both they clearly understood the rules. If they want to report Shildon it's up to them as one
said " we go by our watch not that of the spectators"
