and just think if the SMB had their way Broad would have been playing for Notts and we would be 2 down

without Broad we would be nowhere in this series

You would think the worlds number one team would have strength in depth. Their reign was brief and won't be repeated in a hurry.

England rules the world 

Don't we have to win the series by 2 tests to become world number 1, which does look likely at the moment.

When was the last time England were even the number 1 test team?

There were plenty better judges of cricketer than you saying he should be dropped.

I don't think many, if any, didn't rate him on ability alone, people thought he should be left out as his form up until this series had not warranted selection.

Broad has done very well but, as an aside and a question for the stattos, who was the last England all rounder whose test batting average is around 60% higher than his bowling average? Bressie's status in the squad is getting more impressive with each appearance.

and yet people on here dont learn that you identify your best 11 players and back them when they are out of nick

its easy to fete players when they are in nick it takes a big man to back someone out of form and who needs support

take a bow EB

Bell would probably be playing Minor Counties cricket as well.

In all seriousness he reminds me of some of the Aussies who got into their side when they were beating everyone in sight. They were bigged up to be far better than what they were because they were playing with some greats of the game

Similar now if you take out KP, Trott, Broad, Cook and Prior were not that great

You weren't the only one suggesting Broad should not be dropped.

Take a bow Dexter.

As a lot of us have done with Anderson, and as I am doing now with Morgan.

Take note.

I think most sides would struggle with only 6 players.
