170 odd yesterday, nailed on. Bell at 3, Bopara and Morgan at 5 and 6.

Bit of good fortune for Morgan, he might have been struggling otherwise.

170 or not, with him and Morgan in the line up our middle order looks weak as piss IMO. Just don't think the lad will ever cut it at international level....

Me neither, but who else is there?

You'd think too early for Stokes, Hildreth?

And it's a moot point as the selectors will pick Bopara

Fuck that! I'd rather see us bring in Tremlett, push Prior to 6, Broad to 7, Bresnan, Swann, Tremlett, Jimmy.

That leaves us with decent batting down to 8, Swann able to swing the bat, and an extra dimension in our bowling in the shape of Tremlett, especially as there isn't an obvious, in form batting replacement for Trott.

unbelievable.

OK then, fount of all cricket knowledge, who would you pick? Or is the "new Botham/Bradman" not good enough to bat at 7?;-)

more the fact two tests ago shouldnt be in the side, now he is up two spots in the batting order

the english are definitely the most two faced and fickle on the planet

I hope Bopara doesn't get another chance. I don't think he is anywhere near good enough.

Not sure who else there is though?
They could ask Colly to help out for the last 2 tests;-)

Went today, face and arms a little red as I was in the Larwood and Voce stand that get's the sun most of the day.
Great day out, now of out for a curry up in Carlton.

True it is too early, this is the problem I suppose when you have a settled top order that stays in good form and injury free for so long, it hard to see anyone getting thrown in at the deep end in such an important series.

Bopara it will be....

there wont be

Colly was the press scapegoat when anything went wrong

True, but after 1 test after his retirement there was an article on BBC saying we were missing him, then another one after the next test.

Personally after the way the ECB conducted themselves over the T-20 captaincy I hope he tells them to piss off. England's loss, Durham's gain ;-)

Yep, they'd never pick him again anyway, but it can't be long until some newspaper suggests he be called up again.
