Jimmy and Broad were tremendous in this match. In the past watching these two performances in isolation i would have given the edge to Broad as he performed well throughout the match. However EB is most insistent that its 5fers that win matches and 3s and 4fers are neither here nor there - after Jimmy took an excellent 4fer in the Ashes.

So it seems Anderson performed brilliantly in Australia without a cloud in the sky in 35 degree heat. He performed brilliantly today on a flat deck under bright blue skies against the best batting line up in world cricket. Is there anywhere for EB to go on this? He can't even use the 'undercooked' argument given how fulsome of praise he was for Broad in the first innings.

Tendulkar, Laxman and Dravid are all too old so their wickets don't count.

Everyone knows that wickets when it's damp, green or cloudy don't count for Jimmy. Or when it's hot and flat like In Australia or cold in Cardiff of course. You can now add that having an ageing rock guitarist from the band Cream in the crowd is favourable to pitch it up swing bowlers.

See if Jimmy can do it when Lesley Garrett is there, then I might take him seriously

Tendulkar had the sniffles and Gambhir was injured (the fact Jimmy didn't get him out has nothing to do with it, but it means one of the other wickets didn't count instead)
