I backed you mate. Form is temporary class is permanent

Disgraceful that some 'England supporters' wanted you dropped

Good to see you back after two serious injuries

Here we go again! Selective memory again. No one doubted his class, most (except you) doubted his form and wanted him rested to get it back. But don't let the facts get in the way.

Hopefully this is a sign that his form is returning!

i like the 'england supporters' bit, coming from someone who will look for an excuse to dig at the team

no one said he wasnt a good player. however, of late, he has been shite. fact.

he has picked up 2 wickets this morning (nice one 8-)) with out even bowling well. the 2nd one should have have gone to ropes if we are being honest.

No, it's not.

People said put him back in the county championship to get his form back. He did and got a 5fer

he didnt get 'put back in county cricket'. He played a county game why not being on test duty which was the sensible thing to do after having two serious injuries over the winter

so he wasnt dropped or put back in county cricket

simply played a county game to get some overs under his belt and find rythym

ffs

He played for Notts instead of England to try and find some form. How is that not being sent back to county cricket?

Ive backed Broad in the selection arguments but i dont buy this 'form is temporary' business because other than an occasional test match in isolation so far hes proven to be a less than moderate test match bowler. Nobody has seriously threatened his place though and he has obvious talent - a good start at Lords here for him but even if he gets a 10 wicket MOM performance the challenge for him is to contribute more consistently. The poor games need to be a rarity.

he turns up when conditions dont suit which is a big plus

I think all bowlers can point to occasions where they have performed well when conditions werent great for them and Broad has certainly done that. They key for him is just performing more consistently irrespective of conditions - at the moment today is nothing he hasnt done before - it would be great if he made this his series instead of having a one off really good test.

Hes definitely got the ability to.

EB tactics

Keep saying Broad is good (when playing shite) and when he eventually turns it on does the old 'told yas'

Keep saying Anderson is shite (when playing well) and when he eventually has a poor game does the old 'told yas'

main difference beween 'england supporters' and EB is supporters tend to comment on how a player is doing at the time and are genuinely happy when ANY player does well.

you are different EB i shall give you that much

flat wicket, blue skies, best batting line up in world cricket

Jimmy 0 for 66 going over 4 an over.....you couldnt make it up

Oh I forgot he knocks over Sri Lanka in the rain
