EB's selective memory strikes again. No one on here doubted the lad's talent, but his form was terrible, being dropped from the ODI against Sri Lanka looks to have been a great decision based on his form so far this series.

He rediscovered what he could do playing for Notts, took some key wickets at Lord's and has swung the game back into the balance today after it looked like India were completely in control.

What are your opinions on Jimmy's performance from Lord's? You seem to have missed the threads discussing how he played on Monday.

on a warn pitch against nine fit players after Broad had run through them to leave them 200 runs short of a par first inning score

oh aye that thread

jesus wept

Fred was just one of the common people who liked a beer and the public warmed to him

Broad is the real deal. Its embarrasing reading some of the stuff on here

Bresnan for Broad :lol::lol:

Not as embarrasing as the utter drivel you post. Then you bury your head in the sand and dont face the music.Plum!

Do you think Broad will be embarrassed in the future whenever anyone mentions his hattrick he will know that its flawed because of the umpires decision on the LBW?

As Jimmy has also done, both he and Broad took 8 wickets at Lord's of course ;)

yeah I forgot it was Broad who gave England a 200 run lead by ripping out their top order when they were 115 for 2

''leader of the attack'' - Broad is the leader of the side period.

the rest all look to him for inspiration when batting, bowling or fielding

its v special watching someone of the ilk of Bradman and Beefy in our midst

No one is disputing the impact he had at Lord's, but him doing that was just as valuable as Jimmy's 5fer in the 2nd innings, both were key factors in us winning the game.

mate if you want to believe that you believe it

anyone worth their salt knows first innings runs are crucial because thats when the wicket is best for batting.

i wont reply to anymore of your drivel on this thread

Fair enough, you just carry on believing we gain nothing by Jimmy being in the side

The head goes to the sand once again.

Darren Gough will have his life!:lol:

You know if Jimmy had bowled like Broad today all we'd hear about is the shocker of the lbw and that he'd just run through the tail which is what fast bowlers should do, it's all about taking out the guys at the top of the order.
