Bless, Riviera's really getting wound up by this Fairs Cup malark. Bless, maybe one day you too can claim to support a club that have won a major European trophy, then again, probably not. ;)

Maybe you can too! Then again, probably not. ;)

Maybe you can claim to one day too. Unlikely though.

Fairs Cup 1969 lads, if three of them sit proudly in the Nou Camp's trophy room, well that's good enough for me.

Is that the one not recognised by UEFA?

Also, sit proudly in the Nou Camp :lol::lol::lol: Oh dear me.

You keep harping on about UEFA not recognising it, did the competition have anything to do with UEFA? No. Then why would it need it's official recognition? The Fairs Cup was a highly regarded trophy, probably more so than the Europa League of today. Don't be too bitter lads, eh? Seems we have a case of dirty green mackems. ;)

Baseless nonsense.

I don't remember seein it when i went on the tour there like. Can't think why.

You clearly weren't looking hard enough, or more likely your selective sight chose not to see. They actually hold the proper trophy as they won it outright in '71, so the one Bobby Moncur lifted himself sits there in the Nou Camp amongst many other great pieces of silverware.

the Fairs Cup is not considered a UEFA competition, and hence clubs' records in the Fairs Cup are not considered part of their European record.

It's a nothing trophy man.

After Barca beat United at Wembley back in may Pep Guardiola was interviewed after the game.

Pep said:
This is a great achievement, hopefully we can win a pointless tournament like the great side of '71. Then we can class ourselves as succesful.
