It wasn't ran by UEFA when we won it so it wouldn't be. Not entirely sure why that would make any difference. The Intertoto Cup is a UEFA recognised trophy if that's your criteria for 'major' trophy status.
Everyone else accepts the Fairs Cup as the forerunner of the UEFA Cup (including the UEFA) website. That's good enough for me.

As has already been said in this thread, if the criteria for a major trophy is that it's UEFA recognised then I'll point you towards the 2006 Intertoto Cup Champions.
