All apart from Ba are unknown quantities (to me anyway )but agree the standard of French football seems to be on the slide ,and Wenger seems to get anyone who's decent ,I'm not getting carried away just yet but things are starting to shape up nicely for us imo!

Cyril, the players we are signing are not world class, the joy is that after years of playing second fiddle, we are no longer doing that. Not by a great distance, but still not second to you. That means a lot after all the shit we have had to swallow.

Newcastles city centre is lightyears ahead of Sunderlands.

Outside of that, ie. the housing areas, are pretty equal

Sunderland has many a nice area, Seaburn, Ashbrooke, Tunstall, Barnes etc
