Also I wonder if it was a way of bumping off Carole from the show in a quiet (non gruesome death) kind of way?
 
Ezekiel is a great character and the episode hammers home - as they said on the talking dead - that all of the leaders are putting on a show. Rick is 'Mr. Sherriff' with a gun and cowboy hat, Ezekiel made everyone buy into this Royal fantasy, and Negan, well, we all saw what show he puts on.

Quite enjoyed that, nice introduction to The Kingdom and fantastic casting on Ezekiel.

They don't deviate from the broad arcs. You might get a different character death or a side plot that lasts 2 or 3 episodes but the show overall follows the comics.

Yeah I reckon the king wants to buck Carol.

I enjoyed that episode but it was a bit slow like.

I hope it goes back to (P)Rick's group for next week.

I thought Sheeva was grrrrreeeaaat and hope she doesn't get killed but I would like to see her knocking off some baddies.
 
Thought Dr Jenner (?) at the CDC said animals and even bacteria wouldn't feed on the dead yet the pigs were eating them. And I wish they'd left the tiger out.

I really enjoyed last night's show. had been worried about the portraying of Eziekel and how do they make the tiger work because I thought it was a bit ott even in the comics, bit as Glenn would say 'they crushed it'

I think Daryl and Negan will grow to like each other. Negan obviously has some charm about him to get all those people following him. This King bloke could be the dodgy one I reckon. Too much of Woodbury about the Kingdom, with its choir and quotes splashed all over. I think he's a crack pot.
