Never been world class and his lack of tactical discipline and awareness is really showing up now he can't headless chicken round the pitch for 90 minutes.

Another one with fantastic potential who sacked improving off as soon as the money started rolling in.
 
Great footballer like but a complete c*nt of a person and totally wasted his footballing talents by being unable to leave his home town.

Led his hometown team to winning the champions league(won man of the match as well). I think he came third in the Ballon d'Or that year anarl. If thats not world class then im not sure what is.

One dominating game at the top level. Did nothing of note at international level. Relied on foreign brains behind him to cover for his belting mindlessly all over the pitch. his PR is world class mind, no debating that, right up there with Set Piece Specialist Seb Larsson (tm).

I dont think its one dominating game though. Fair enough he hasnt been world class for a while but in his peak he had two or three seasons where there were few better in his position. I think most people recognise this.

Lots of world class players have done nothing of note at international level as well. For example Seedorf..

Probably have to agree with you here. Been a top player but looks a shadow of what he was 5 years ago. Mind you, he still offers Liverpool something in a holding role but was bypassed last night by a proper team. Wouldn't knock him though, been very good for most of his career.
