The club may well have just been telling him porkies.Downie had said Roberts is 25/75 to play against the mags, where has he made that up froom?
It's not as if telling him anything benefits us in the slightest.

I think its more that the club dont seem to have a clue what's actually wrong with people. The amount of times someone has picked up what the club initially diagnose as a "minor" injury and it turns out they are out for much, much longer than expected. It just seems to be out of control. I remember Stewarts injury at Boro, he was out much longer than originally forecast. Alese was badly managed by deeming it okay for him to play against Luton only for it to actually set him back months. Cirkin and Ekwah were both supposed to be minor knocks and they are/were out for ages. There's probably more.I wrote a post about this in September and I think it still stands.
It must be Mowbrays presser today?
As long as it’s not Ballard Patterson, Ballard & Clarke are the ones we can’t afford to pick up an injury imo.www.readytogo.net
A. Do we know that we actually have more/ longers injuries than other teams, or is it just because we follow our club closer than other teams? B. If we do, what are the reasons for it (I list a few, including the idea that the club cut back of strength and conditioning and also medical staff after the relegations) and finally, C. are we actually taking any steps to try and change things at the club for the better?
Because they have over played their players during a busy fixture calendar. They probably havent got a big enough squad to cope with the demands of competing across multiple competitions in the first half of the season.Newcastle have had 15 injuries this year. Is that because they’re ran on a shoe string budget as well?
Obviously being sarcastic there, but with our record on these type of things it's probably going to be longer than originally stated. Why may we never see Roberts again???
They’ve played 2 more games than us this seasonBecause they have over played their players during a busy fixture calendar. They probably havent got a big enough squad to cope with the demands of competing across multiple competitions in the first half of the season.
Oh here we again again. Same shit conspiracy shit for years man. “What are our lit doing in training, they’re always injured” blah blah blah. People saying calf strains are a little knock etc, have you actually tried to sprint and change direction when your calf or hamstring is fucked?? Try having a real dead leg when trying to kick a ball, it f***ing kills.
Our training and rehab facilities are up there with the best of them. It’s not the clubs fault players get injured. Jesus.
Linton is out for 6 weeks. Just saying.
R.I.P, more like.Half of our players should be claiming P.I.P ffs
Tbf after the tsunami of shite they presided over in the lead up to the mags game (shit piece of news after shit piece of news) they probably didn’t dare say Roberts was out for a month or soSlight calf strain and was to be assessed before the Newcastle game, now out until next month.
Was it a case of trying to keep them guessing in the run up to the Cup game, or is it a case of us not taking any chances?
Just seems another case of something that should keep a player out for a game or two ending up with them out a hell of a lot longer.
Posh word for bruise! He also had a haematoma which is worse than a dead leg
Waaaaarse than a brooze squirePosh word for bruise!
Intramuscular, yep. Subdural haematoma is just a bruise.Waaaaarse than a brooze squire
Because he is injured during the transfer window. Expect Southampton to come back in for him.Why may we never see Roberts again???
Sorry typos all ower meant miss informing people and described as a dead legI think the main problem was Mowbrays slack gob Mia informing people before he knew the facts Ekwah had some kind of hematoma in his thigh that was juts deceived as a dead leg by Mowbray
A sensible post amidst a pile of guff .Oh here we again again. Same shit conspiracy shit for years man. “What are our lit doing in training, they’re always injured” blah blah blah. Then he limped off again against us once the second goal went in, noticed his hamstring was being held together with KT Tape, so he's obviously just been patched up.
You’ve picked a poor example seeing as he’s now out for another 6 weeks probably after being rushed back too quicklyJoelinton pulled up with a hamstring injury a few weeks ago and limped off, he then started the next game. We have a player walk off with a little knock and they’re out for months.
That's right Mack. It's made him a right lazy bassa anarl! It's amazing how people are able to shift narratives to suit an agenda. People still talking about Ekwah having a dead leg, despite everyone knowing he had a haemotoma.
Confirmation bias.
Started the last game though, so probably doesn't count.
Do you know what, at the time I thought that.I don't think Newcastle will have been bothered if Roberts played or not.
