Right boys this will be my first SMB C2C, what are the plans for Saturday? Also what should I bring other than myself and my bike?

@Dave Herbal
Herbal's got a definitive list but basically I take
Cycling gear for 3 days.
Pair of jeans, trainers and jumper etc for the nights, not to many
Phone and Garmin charger
Water bottle and some SIS powder
Couple of spare tubes small tool kit and pump, although everyone tends to look after each other so not essential
Lightweight water proof jacket
Money for beer and peanuts
Have a small back pack to carry day crap about with
Sure there's more which I will no doubt forget

You remembered your Garmin charger but forgot your Garmin.

You'll need to remember your bike too, some toiletries, three pairs of boxers and three pairs of socks.

Be at the sol for 8. We'llset off from Whitehaven about 11.30 and tip up in greystoke around 6, depending how many pub stops you make.

I used to have a big list of gear to take but essentially:

3 sets of riding clothes (or 1 and you can stink all weekend)
Waterproof coat
Helmet, gloves, sungegs
Camelback or water bottle
Some kind of riding backpack
Puncture kit/spare tube

Set of pub clothes (different shoes to your riding ones in case they get wet)
Washing kit
Chargers for all your tech
A load of bait to trough in the minibus so you are fully fuelled on arrival, as there's no lunch stop.
Phone
Money

If anyone's coming to meet you at the end, we normally get to Roker between 4 and 6

There's energy powder in the van, along with some gels, chocolate, bananas etc.

I'm having a bike choice dilemma....

MTB
Roadie
Tourer

What do you reckon? What is everyone else taking?

@Dave Herbal
@RossTheNinja
@Manuel
@JosieAnn II
Mtb. Otherwise yiu have to miss out the best bits. You don't need the speed of a roadie, and you're not touring around Thailand. Plus, you ride most of the hills in your bottom granny gear. I'm not even sure how the stiffback roadie wankers can actually ride up Garigill with their gearing.

Roadie FTW
Don't be silly. Where the fun?

Doing 45 down the other side of Hartside.

Hope you have a great weekend and the weather is kind to you all
Headwind but dead hot.
