Yep. You don’t miss payments to players for three months in a six month period, claim you’ve given your manager a new contract then sack him a few weeks later if you’re a competently run club.

Couldn't invest in the summer. They're paying Wyke about 10k plus whatever promotion increase he had. God knows what some others are on like McClean, Power and those who they hoovered up for the quick promotion.

Owners maybe are realising that there's going to be no massive increase in crowds, no quick flip for profit and that Wigan with outstanding debts and large contracts are very much unsustainable.
