Kieffer Moore

So he's said in an interview that he didn't enjoy his time at Ipswich? Or are you assuming that was the case as he struggled for goals?

Very much so, but again, would Barnsley have accepted our offer considering we were a promotion rival and would Moore have wanted to sign considering Barnsley looked odds on to finish higher that us?
Barnsley are one of the few clubs who would have chosen to bank cash no matter what their position imo. They have consistently always cashed in on players. I’ve got a mate who’s a Barnsley fan and he says in reality the infrastructure and fanbase is that of a league 2 club but they’ve punched above their weight by being very disciplined over the last 25/30 years which is testament to keeping within your means

We were 6th in the table after beating Preston on New Years Day.

If, as they’d laughably have us believe, they prepare meticulously for each window, they’d have known Moore was available to either buy or loan and we could have had him here then.

It’s not like they hadn’t been aware we were desperately short if a competent striker, having not had one for a year by then.

Ipswich weren’t even in the market for Moore by then.

Maybe the same posters you decry have a point ?
He probably thinks they don't.

do you believe if we'd have spent the sums involved on Moore, we would have A) made the top 6 and B) Have enough to get us over the line in the play offs to actually go up? Its not like we have finshed 8th or 9th and needed a liitle boost - we are a mile off.

He’s saying “at the time”. You know when we were 6th to show a little ambition or competence with a striker.

If what you say that the club “knew” we’d end up miles off back then, then makes it even worse man. If we knew back then we didn’t have a squad to even get “close” then…

Yes now we are because Beale and Dodds has shredded Mowbray attacking style and replaced to it with dour defensive negative football.

We needed that push in the January transfer window which everyone could see was a striker and a DCM. We ended up wasting 2m on a LB/CB for the bench, 2m on a young winger that looks no better than Bennette who we sent on loan and a League One LB/CM who no-one knows where his best position is. Money spunked on fees for players that aren't a priority is just as bad as not paying wages to experienced, better players, when available.

There's absolutely no doubt that getting Moore in when we were sitting 6th would have seen us finish in a much better position than we are now. He's probably scored more goals for Ipswich than our whole f#cking team has since January!

Scored 6 in 16 appearances, scored a goal every every 168 minutes, if you do the maths that's 6 in 11 full games, Dodds has managed 7 in 12
& some people still try to defend Dreyfuss, Speakman, Dodds, Harvey & the model.

Well, there we go then.

That Moore loan would have cost a lot less than Hjelde nevermind Mundle and Styles, who've contributed very little for their outlay.
Moore's loan would have been much more beneficial.

For context, he hasn’t scored since early March and only one of his goals has actually directly impacted the result of a game.

We’ve got no idea how well he’d have done here really but he hasn’t had the huge impact at Ipswich many expected him to.

Let's be honest tho mate. Even having him upfront just to hold the ball up and bring others in, along with his experience would have been hugely beneficial.

He would have been better than what we have undoubtedly but we can’t force someone to choose us
